When You are
When You are strong
you take your grief
and teach it to smile
When You are brave
you overcome the fear
and help others to do the same..
When You are happy
you see beauty in
the tiniest of things
and are thankful
for that blessing..
When You are loving
your own pain
does not blind you
to the pain of others...
When You are wise
you know the limits
of your wisdom
when hope for tomorrow
means more to you
than yesterday's mistake..
You are a true human being
when you admit
there are times
you fool yourself
You are alive
You are growing
when you know
what you are..
But not what you will become
You are truely honorable
when you find your honor
is to honor others..
You are generous
when you can take
as sweetly
as you can give..
You are humble
when you do not realize
how humble you are..
You are surely free
when you are in control
of yourself and do not
wish to control others..
you forgive in others
the faults you condemn
in yourself..
when You walk in beauty
you are at peace
with who you are not
you do not need
a mirror!
