Foot Prints

Several years ago, We were in the middle of a huge
snow storm, almost a blizzard like comditions
my husband had gone off to work early morning as
usial and the snow was accumulating.
The total amount of snow that day,was about eleven inches.

There was a knock on the door and I went to see who it was. There
was a poor looking man and he asked if he could shovel our walk.
I supposed every one that needed money and was out of work
would go looking for that job today. I felt bad, when I told him
that I didn't have any money to give. I was going to ask him in to
warm up and he said that maybe if I had something to eat. I told
him to wait a minute... that I could do that and when I returned
to the living room door, he was out there shoveling not only the
walk, but the path from the driveway to the house and the driveway.

I had bundled two big sacks of groceries, which contained cereal,
some pastas dry milk, canned goods, ect. I called to him and said
he shouldn't do all that, whereon he came to the door. I handed
him two sacks and asked him to wait a minute so that I could go
get the package of hamburger for him. I went to the kitchen to
retrieve the package from the counter, not twenty feet away and
when I returned to the living room, the door was slightly ajar
and he was gone. I stepped out side the door and I couldn't see him
any where. I walked to the street and looked down to the end, which
is a good distance.. He was no where to be seen. I couldn't
understand, how he could have covered that distance so fast, and
as I walked back to the house, it struck me...

There wasn't any "Foot Prints" in the snow that had fallen deep around
our area. There wasn't any cars that attempted to climb this hill either, as the
salt trucks hadn't been through as yet. As I was became puzzled then it
struck me even more... He didn't have a shovel when he first came
to the door and ours. I'm certain the snow shovels were in the locked garage
and I looked again... Not a Foot Print any where!

I can't explain it even today and my children tell me it was an angel.
When ever they refer to this, they always mention the day the
angel came to the door. In my heart, I believe they are right. Why
he came, I don't know.. If there was a danger some where, I will never
know. I know there wasn't any "Foot Prints" left in the snow...
but there were "Foot Prints" left in my heart.

THE BIBLE SAYS THAT, WE SOMETIMES ENTERTAIN ANGELS
UNAWARE. WHAT EVER YOU BELIEVE IS YOURS TO BELIEVE...
BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE,
WE BELIEVE IN ANGELIC VISITATIONS.
